Over 150 attended the Alpha Introduction Dinner at Wesley Hall. The event featured performances, a powerful testimony and sign-ups for the Alpha programme. About 40 guests registered on the night, with more expected to join.

Wesley Methodist Church celebrates the True Light of Christ’s Birth on Christmas Day. Joyful carols, Yuletide tunes and the lighting of Advent candles symbolising hope, peace, joy and love, filled the service. Rev Raymond Fong’s sermon highlighted the divine revelation of Christ, encouraging the congregation to embrace God’s light and love.

In the bustling 111 Somerset office, 11 participants, facilitators, and hosts overflowed into the corridor for weekly sessions. The group’s size and their hunger for truth signified a plentiful harvest field. Over 12 sessions, God’s work was evident, with a participant finding salvation early in the Alpha course.

Kara Martin, author and lecturer, emphasises integrating faith and work. Her teachings affirm that work isn’t just for earning and self-actualisation, but also a means to serve God. She interprets Colossians 3:17 and Romans 12:1-2 as guiding principles for living a life of worship. She encourages viewing work from an eternal perspective, serving Jesus, and practising fairness.

On its 1st anniversary, Digital Wesley collaborated with a digital visionary to host CW3’s first Global Conference: All Generations on 2nd March 2024. CW3, a nonprofit, aims to unite Christians in the virtual world.

Wesley Mandarin Ministry held a Mother’s Day service, honouring all mothers for their nurturing roles. The event, attended by worshippers, children, and newcomers, was filled with an atmosphere of warmth and love, reflecting high participation.

How wonderful when families connect across the generations to impress God’s Word upon their children. (Deuteronomy 6:6-9) A newly-launched programme has the potential to further connect Wesley families in spiritual discipleship. Senior participants who become proficient can receive and transmit sermons or Bible Reading meditations, and share prayers and encouragement with their loved ones on digital devices.

What went down at Wesley Youth Centre this eggciting Easter?

The Wesley Methodist Church family had the joy of celebrating Easter together yet again. This year’s Easter Services were thronged by congregants from all generations. Everyone, whether younger or older, had a part to play in making this Easter celebration a resoundingly glorious intergenerational one.
