In 2023, Danny and Julie Ng, after speaking at a retreat in Thailand, unexpectedly started a coffee business in Singapore. Their venture positively impacted local farmers, funded scholarships and staff training. They aim to promote sustainable farming, tithe profits to a local church and plan visits to the farming communities.

The Little Candles School in Phrao, Thailand, celebrated its opening ceremony on 20 March 2024. Supported by Wesley Methodist Church, the school aims to impart godly values to children and foster community spirit. The school’s mission is to let the light of God’s love shine in each child.

Nine Wesleyans travelled to northern Thailand for a missions trip in October. Featuring a children and youth camp to show the love of Christ, hear from the organisers, trippers and attendees on their memorable experience and takeaways.

Jonathan and Phoebe Kong will be returning to the missions field in Thailand end-July 2023 after serving as full-time staff in Wesley Methodist Church for more than four and two years, respectively. No stranger to the missions fields in Thailand, Jonathan and Phoebe had met there. Wesley TIDINGS caught up with them recently to share their take on their calling and what it means to serve together in the missions field.

What comes to mind when you hear “missions”? Wesleyans including 19-year-old Gabriel Yong and his family visited Nong Bua Lam Phu church in Thailand once again, bringing Alpha to the youths and fellowshipping with our Thai brothers and sisters.

A group of youths from Thailand visited Wesley’s various youth ministries, fostering connections and creating missions awareness in the Wesleyan community.

In these troubled and uncertain times, it becomes even more important to offer people the eternal hope of salvation in Jesus Christ.
