On 25 May 2026, a group of volunteers from Wesley Glowing Years Ministry (WGYM) had the privilege of serving the residents at MWS Nursing Home – Eunos through an afternoon bi-monthly outreach programme filled with music, games, exercise, crafts, fellowship and encouragement.
The team gathered earlier for practice, briefing and prayer, committing the afternoon into God’s hands before ministering across three different groups—Peace (Level 3 ladies), Joy (Level 2 males) and Hope (Level 4 mixed residents).

The sessions began with lively singalongs accompanied by harmonica music, led by the WGYM Harmonica Ensemble, bringing smiles and familiar melodies to the residents. Simple exercises, led by a WGYM volunteer, encouraged movement and participation, while balloon games between the seniors and WGYM volunteers created moments of laughter and interaction. At the Peace group, residents also enjoyed a meaningful craft session led by the WGYM Blessings Craft group.

Though the activities may seem simple, they became powerful reminders of God’s love and presence. Through every song sung, every conversation shared and every smile exchanged, we were reminded that ministry is often found in small acts of kindness and faithful presence.
We are thankful for all the volunteers in WGYM who served wholeheartedly in this bi-monthly outreach at Eunos Nursing Home, and we pray that the residents were encouraged and blessed. May we continue to be a ministry and church that brings Christ’s love, joy and hope to the community around us.

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
— Matthew 25:40 (NIV)
