In God’s Time

OBSERVE:
God is not limited by the human, modern-day construct of time. He is eternal, and His love is everlasting and unrestricted by the passage of time. I can depend on Him at all times.
APPLY:
I am an “elder” millennial, and I consider myself part of the “sandwich generation.” This means caring for and supporting both the next generation—my teenage kids—and the senior generation—my parents. These responsibilities go alongside my other commitments, such as secular work, serving in church ministries, and navigating my personal experience as a woman in her mid-40s dealing with the beginnings of aging and potential perimenopause symptoms. In the grand scheme of time, as described in Psalm 90:4, this current season of my life should be fleeting. However, on some days, life can feel quite heavy. Still, God is with me, watching over and guiding me, as He has always done throughout my life.
DO:
I will continue to take intentional pauses to be still, lean on God, and find spiritual rest in Him. Self-care is also important, and I hope to continue making room for it.
PRAY:
Father, thank You for always being present with me. Forgive me for the times when I get distracted and do not acknowledge Your presence. I know Your plans for me are good. Lord, grant me patience, courage, and wisdom as I journey through this current phase of life, walking in lockstep with You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
