1 Corinthians 6:1-11 and Psalm 14 (NIV)

READ:
1 Corinthians 6:1-11 and Psalm 14 (NIV)
OBSERVE:
In Psalm 14, the Lord looks down from heaven to see if there are men who act wisely and seek after Him. But alas, all have turned away. These men are corrupt, and they indulge in sins, evils, wickedness, and iniquities. They will not inherit the Kingdom of God. In 1 Corinthians 6:1-11, God wants believers who have grievances with one another not to seek justice from unholy people, but to seek solutions from His people who have been washed, sanctified, and justified by Jesus.
APPLY:
God has given us His commandments and statutes, which are fulfilled in Jesus Christ, and He has also sent the Holy Spirit to dwell within us, leading and empowering us to walk in righteousness and holiness.
DO:
With God’s eyes on me, I must consciously remember to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with the Lord. I will love God with all my heart and put Him first in everything. I will try to be holy and righteous so that I do not grieve Him. My faith and trust is in Him. May the Lord enable me to do works in various ministries for His glory.
I give the keys of my life to Jesus. May He enable me to bear good fruit and the Fruit of the Spirit. With the Lord’s help, I will learn to keep my cool when irritated, be non-critical, and forgive a wrong.
I will hand over my harsh words and criticisms to the Lord, remembering that He cares for me. In trials and tribulations, I will not question the Lord’s goodness but will accept them in good faith, trusting that He always brings good out of our trials. I will obey God and commit to do His will.
PRAY:
Lord, I commit myself and all believers to You. Help us always to act wisely and seek after You. I pray that You will fill us afresh with Your Holy Spirit so that our hearts will be strangely warmed to walk in righteousness and holiness daily, to the honour and glory of Your holy name.
