His Love Endures Forever

OBSERVE:
There are a total of 26 verses in Psalm 136 and each verse ends with the same phrase: “His love endures forever”. The phrase “His love endures forever ” is repeated 26 times! The psalmist expressed his gratitude and praised God who alone does great wonders.
The psalmist continued to praise God and recounted His mighty act in the creation of heaven and earth; how God made great lights – the sun to govern the day and the moon to govern the night.
The psalmist also recalled the event that took place in Egypt where the Israelites were being oppressed and in bondage. God with His mighty hand and outstretched arm, parted the Red Sea. Pharaoh and his army were swept into the Red Sea. God freed the Israelites from their enemies and led them through the desert. God loves His people and brought them out from their bondage.
APPLY:
Psalm 136 has taught me to be grateful and to remember everything the Lord has done for me. God is faithful and His love endures forever. I can trust Him all the days of my life.
DO:
Like the psalmist, I want to praise Him and speak of His goodness to the people around me. I want to sing of His praises and let others know that my God is Almighty, His love endures forever.
PRAY:
Dear Heavenly Father. Thank you for speaking to me through Psalm 136. Your love endures forever! Indeed Your love endures forever! Help me to have a grateful heart always and to give You praise all the time. Accept my praise and thanksgiving for all that You have done and will be doing in my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
