Victory In Christ!
BRD REFLECTION 2025
Isaiah 52:13-15; Isaiah 53 and Psalm 134 (NIV)

OBSERVE:
Verses 1 – 9 clearly identify Jesus Christ as God’s righteous servant (v11) who was despised and rejected, and the man of sorrows. He was pierced for our transgressions and led like a lamb to be slaughtered even though He did no wrong and committed no violence.
Verses 10-12 reveal that it was the Lord’s will and good plan to crush and sacrifice Christ so that we can be made righteous. His life was made an offering for our sins. Now He is interceding for us from Heaven.
APPLY:
I now have victory in Christ; like the psalmist in 134, I can praise the Lord ,lift up my hands in the sanctuary and exalt the Maker of heaven and earth whose redemption plan was made possible for me and for all in Jesus Christ. By His wounds I am healed. How much He had suffered for me, an unworthy sinner. Like Paul in Philippians 3:8, I count all things as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. He truly never gave up on me for He loves me so much. I am reminded of the following words from an old hymn:take time to be holy, speak often with thy Lord, abide in Him always and feed on His Word. It is good to spend precious time alone with my God, quiet and interrupted, away from normal daily chores.
DO:
I want to give thanks each morning for His faithfulness and saving grace, be disciplined in my prayer life and encourage my small group to join the Wesley Wednesday prayer meetings. I would also like to attend a silent retreat with my small group.
PRAY:
Father God, thank You for Your amazing love and grace. I was lost but now I am found. Help me to learn to love You more each day. I pray that Your Spirit will flood my soul daily, lead me and reign over my life. May I be blessed to be a blessing to others. Use me for Your kingdom work on earth. Amen.
