When God Has The Final Say

The following passage from Genesis 30:43 (KJV) stands out for me:
“And the man increased exceedingly…”
OBSERVE:
I see a God who is faithful even when life is unfair. Jacob’s circumstances were far from favourable. Laban had changed agreements, manipulated the situation, and tried to limit Jacob’s wages. Yet, despite everything working against him, Jacob prospered. Jacob did not allow his circumstances to paralyse him. He used wisdom, creativity, and the resources God had placed in his hands. I am reminded that God can give me an innovative mind in the middle of challenges and show me possibilities where I only see problems. I may not always understand what God is doing, but I can trust that He is working behind the scenes. What looks like a setback to me may become the very platform God uses for my breakthrough. When God has the final say, no person, circumstance, or scheme can cancel His purposes!
APPLY:
I see this deeply reflected in my own journey. In my 22 years as a business owner and entrepreneur, I have faced clients and stakeholders who have tried to undercut me, change agreements, or take advantage of situations. There have been moments when I felt discouraged and wondered how things would work out. Yet, time and time again, God has shown Himself strong. He has given me wisdom when I needed direction, creativity when I needed a solution, opened doors I could never have opened myself, and created opportunities I never expected. Looking back, I can see that some of the greatest breakthroughs came when circumstances appeared most difficult. I have learned that I do not need to control every outcome. I just need to remain faithful, keep my integrity, use the gifts God has given me, and trust Him with the results. My future is not determined by the people who stand against me, but by the God who stands with me.
DO:
I will choose faith over fear when I face challenges. I will not ask God to change my circumstances, but rather to change the way I see them. I will seek His wisdom, remain creative, and look for the opportunities He may be revealing in the middle of adversity. I will continue to work diligently and with integrity, knowing that my responsibilities are obedience and faithfulness, while the outcome belongs to God. When the odds seem stacked against me, I will remember that God has the final say.
PRAY:
Lord, thank You that no scheme, setback, or unfair circumstance can override Your purposes for my life. When I cannot see a way forward, give me wisdom to see what You see. Give me creativity to find solutions, courage to take the next step, and faith to trust You with the outcome. Help me remain faithful when I feel overlooked and steadfast when circumstances are difficult. I declare today that my future is in Your hands. Because You have the final say, I have nothing to fear. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
