OBSERVE:
These verses from Chronicles and Psalms remind me of the importance of living as a beacon of Christ’s light within the community, preparing me to serve His people with both love and integrity.
I am thankful for the church’s commitment to equipping us with essential biblical knowledge and skills for community service.
Building upon this foundation of faith and equipped by the church, I recognize that spiritual discipline is a continuous journey. While I feel that I have to be adequately prepared to serve the community, I understand that it begins with a willing and humble heart, which is open to God’s guidance.
APPLY:
I am grateful for the church leadership that guides us in our mission of “Discipleship in Society.” As the body of Christ, through Wesley@Besar, we actively engage with the Jalan Besar community, collaborating with grassroots leaders to organize events with the intention to arrive at our ultimate objective of reaching out to the marginalized, that is the least, the last and the lost.
While we have established a close relationship with the grassroots leaders in Jalan Besar, I must be mindful that without God’s blessings, this would not be possible nor sustainable by our human efforts. God will affirm our actions if He is pleased.
DO:
I will actively and consistently remind myself of these verses. As I commit my time to do God’s work, I am also committing to standing firm in my spiritual disciplines, resisting the allure of the world’s standards and distractions.
PRAY:
Praise You, Lord, for Your provision and for equipping me for service. Grant me the constant awareness that I can achieve nothing without You. To You be all the glory! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
