Perseverance In Prayer
BRD REFLECTIONS:

OBSERVE:
Psalm 69 teaches us the power of persistent prayer in the face of deep despair. The psalmist encourages us to keep praying, seeking and trusting that God hears those who seek the Lord, who cry out to Him through seasons of waiting and hoping, even till he is “worn out calling for help” and his “throat is parched”.
Throughout the psalm, the psalmist repeatedly cries out to God to rescue him from his many enemies and deliverance from his pain and distress. He was scorned and mocked by even his brothers, for his zeal for the Lord.
Psalm 69 teaches us that even in the depths of despair, we can trust God’s faithfulness, love and mercy.
APPLY:
Just as David and Jesus eventually received God’s deliverance, we too will experience God’s intervention in our lives if we remain steadfast in faith. Psalm 69 reminds us that God’s deliverance is ultimately a gift of grace, and it is not something we can earn by how worthy we are.
Jesus was persecuted by the ungodly and experienced the agony of the cross. Likewise, as His disciples, we will go through adversity in this world. God’s transformative work in our lives is not just for our benefit, but is also a living testimony of the glory of God’s Name. God’s faithfulness in our lives becomes a witness of His goodness and power.
DO：
I must continually examine my heart and actions, seeking His guidance and asking for His forgiveness whenever I fall short of His expectations. This helps me to stay aligned with God’s will and remain open to His transformative work in my life. I will seek to forgive those who offend me just as God has forgiven me, and to persevere in my journey of faith.
PRAY：
O Lord, Thank You for Your grace and mercy. Grant me peace in Your presence where my weary soul can find rest and renewal. Set my feet on solid ground and help me to remain steadfast in my faith. I desire to be a light that reflects Your love and grace, a living testimony of true hope and redemption even in challenging times. O Lord You are my stronghold and my reason to persevere when everything feels lost. Hide me under the shadow of Your wings and protect me as the apple of Your eye; for in You alone I find true safety. I will praise Your Name and proclaim Your sovereignty. Amen.
