God Of Every Nation
BRD REFLECTIONS:
Exodus 21-22 and Psalm 67 (NIV)
(Violet Kong, CiC Facilitator)
READ:
Psalm 67:1-7 NIV
[1] May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us [2] so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. [3] May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. [4] May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples with equity and guide the nations of the earth. [5] May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. [6] The land yields its harvest; God, our God, blesses us. [7] May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear Him.
OBSERVE:
As I was reflecting on Psalm 67, this hymn came to my mind: “We your people praise you, praise you, God of every nation! We, your people, praise you, praise you, Lord of hosts eternal!”
How good it would be if all nations wouldcome together one day to praise God, acknowledging Him as Lord and King. How good it would also be if my entire family comes to know and accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour one day.
APPLY:
I have been praying for my pre-believing family members, and I have tried to find opportunities to proclaim God’s goodness, mercies and glorious might in my life.
When a family member was recently diagnosed with a terminal illness, my heart was greatly saddened. However, with this sudden illness, God opened a way for the gospel to be preached. Praise God indeed for His faithfulness to see my family member being saved into His Kingdom. To God be the glory.
May God make His face shine upon me and be gracious to me so that the people around me may want to know more about Christ (Psalm 67: 1-2).
DO:
I will continue to pray for my pre-believing family members and people whom God has placed in my life and reach out to them.
PRAY:
Dear Lord, may my life testify to Your goodness every day. Grant me boldness to share Christ wherever You lead me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
