He Remembers, He Restores
BRD REFLECTION 2025

READ:
OBSERVE:
As I read Isaiah 62, what really stands out to me is how committed God is to His people. He refuses to let them stay in shame or remain defined by their past. He insists on restoring them, renaming them, and taking delight in them.
In Psalm 143, I see almost the opposite posture—David coming to God tired, overwhelmed, and in need of direction. What catches my attention is how honest he is about his weariness, yet he keeps returning to God’s faithfulness. He remembers what God has done before and asks God to lead him again.
Putting these passages together, I see a God who never gives up on His people, even when they feel forgotten or worn down—and a person learning to rest, trust, and rise again in God’s unfailing love.
APPLY:
As I reflect, I sense God inviting me to let Him reshape how I see myself. There are times I feel unnoticed, discouraged, or unsure of what is next. But I am reminded that God sees me very differently—He speaks identity, worth, and delight over my life. Psalm 143 speaks to those seasons when I feel tired or confused. It reassures me that I do not have to pretend. I can come to God just as I am, and His unfailing love still meets me every morning. These passages remind me to slow down, remember how God has carried me before, and trust His voice more than my own doubts or emotions.
DO:
- I will intentionally pause each day—even if it is just for a short moment—to remember ways God has been faithful to me.
- I will bring areas of my life where I feel stuck to God and ask Him to lead me step by step.
- I will remind myself of what God says about me, instead of letting fear or insecurity shape my identity.
- I will choose to trust God’s unfailing love, especially on days when I do not feel strong.
PRAY:
Lord, thank You for speaking truth and identity over me. Thank You that You never forget Your people and that Your love meets me again and again. Help me remember Your faithfulness and follow Your leading, even when the way forward feels uncertain. Keep my heart grounded in who You say I am. I trust You, and I rest in Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
