BRD REFLECTION 2025

Revelation 5 and Psalms 125 (NIV)

(Jeremiah Edward  from Small Group Ministry)

READ:

Psalms 125: 1-5 (NIV)

OBSERVE:

The psalm beautifully illustrates God’s unwavering protection of those who place their trust in Him. Just as the mountains encircle Jerusalem, the Lord surrounds His people eternally. While the scripture acknowledges the temporary reign of evil, it reassures that the reign will not endure for long, lest the righteous are led astray.

APPLY:

Scripture encourages us to lead a life of integrity and righteousness, placing our trust in God. It reassures us that while it may appear that those who are immoral and evil have the upper hand, this is only temporary. God’s favour will always be with His people. Therefore, we should continue to honour God in all our actions, maintaining our integrity and faith. We should be encouraged that God’s divine providence and protection are always with us.

DO:

I will always strive to make righteous choices, even if they don’t bring immediate rewards. I will not envy those who achieve success through dishonest means, as their gains are fleeting.

PRAY:

Heavenly Father, we are grateful for Your comforting words, reminding us that Your presence, protection, and favour are always with Your people. Guide us to be a beacon of light and a source of goodness in the world, so that we may bear witness to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
