Will I Be Found Righteous?

BRD REFLECTION 2025

Isaiah 3, 4 and Psalm 107:1-16 (NIV)

(Tan Hai Chuang from Small Group Ministry)

READ:

Isaiah 3:8,13; Isaiah 4:2-3 and Psalm 107:10-15 (NIV)

OBSERVE:

The people in Judah, including their leaders, had turned away from God. They defied God’s commands and paraded their sins arrogantly.

Against this backdrop, Isaiah warned that God’s judgment was coming soon. All the earthly possessions that the people idolized would be taken away.

Only those who remain faithful and persevere will be called holy, and will remain among the living. They will continue to bear good fruit.

If we repent of our sins, and turn back to God, He will bring us out of darkness and break away our chains.

APPLY:

In today’s chaotic world, where society is increasingly masking and perverting God’s truth, how am I living my life as a Christian? The following questions come to mind:

  • Am I compromising my spiritual values gradually?
  • Have I become lukewarm?
  • Do I prioritize God or do I prioritize the world in my daily life?

These passages are a sober warning to me. I must remain faithful and persevere to the end, so that I will be counted as righteous and be found in the Lamb’s book of life. Psalm 107 is also an encouragement to me. When I repent of my sins and turn back to God, He restores me. I am so thankful for God’s grace and mercy.

DO:

  1. I will always keep God’s Word in my heart. In my daily walk, I will prioritize God over worldly values and demands. I will not compromise my Christian principles in my work and relationships.
  2. I will continue to remind myself that I must remain faithful and persevere to the end. I am to encourage my fellow Christian brothers and sisters to do the same.
  3. I want to reach out to more people in my community, so that they may come to know the Lord.

PRAY:

Father God, thank You so much for Your grace and mercy. Thank You that even though I am unworthy, You accept me and count me as Your child.

As I sojourn in this world, help me to always prioritize You. Help me to persevere and remain faithful to the end.

Please help me to live my life to reflect Your light, so that others may see and come to You. Amen.
